Charming cottage attached to, but private from, main house located overlooking the town of Ulverston (with view) and on the flank of Hoad Hill. Approx 1.5 mile round trip hike to the top of Hoad Hill on a very nice trail. Just a short walk into town for restaurants, pubs and the like. Great location and a very comfortable place for a laid back, quiet getaway. The kitchen and bathrooms are quite modern, and yet the home retains its historic feel. Loved the spacious sitting room on the upper level, with wood burning stove, for hanging out. Hosts were very responsive.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, it was immaculately clean and well stocked with all the kitchen essentials and condiments. Samuel and Marion were also very easy to reach and responded immediately to my message. Absolutely no complaints, just compliments, I highly recommend a stay at The Stables @ St Mary’s Mount
