Ce logement est très bien situé, environ 10 minutes à pieds d’un restaurant, de petits magasins. Le logement contient une grande cours qu’entourée de verdure où vous pouvez relaxer. La famille offre un très bon acceuil et nous assis pour nous expliquer comment Monteverde fonctionne, quelles sont les choses les plus conseillées selon nos préférences et gouts, ce dont j’ai très bien aimé. Tout le long de mon séjour, ils m’ont aidé avec mes transports et les ont reservés pour moi, ce qui rendait le tout très agréable et une meilleure accessibilité à visiter er faire les choses que je désirais.
I had a lovely stay and the host Oscar was incredibly accommodating. The room was quiet and lovely with a private balcony surrounded by nature. I even saw a toucan one morning! That was a real treat. It has a nice open garden space where I was able to look up at the stars in the evening. it's close to town, but far enough away to be quiet and find peace. I would absolutely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay here, and wish it could have been longer. It was a perfect home base to explore the cloud forests and to check out Monteverde. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone who is looking. You will not be disappointed!
If ever there was a place and person that encapsulated 100% the Costan Rican concept of Pura Vida, it has to be Casa Balbi and the host Oscar. The Casita is better than portrayed in the photos - simple, but really well equipped and the location beautiful. As well as the house, you have the use of a garden to sit and relax. Its a bit of a way from Santa Elena, but it's only a 2000 Colones taxi ride and they are plentiful. Oscar is the perfect host. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. He arranged all of our tours and transport and was always at hand to give advice and information. His local knowledge meant we steered away from some of the more commercial tours and Restaurants and we benefited from that hugely. We cannot recommend Casa Balbi highly enough. Thank you Oscar. Pura Vida!
El lugar es tal cual se observa en las fotografías. Cómodo y limpio. Tiene una vista preciosa. Ideal para una estancia confortable y visitar las atracciones. Oscar es realmente amable y atento, nos ofreció excelentes recomendaciones.

Our home in on site with 10 acres of farm land. It is so beautiful to live here and to enjoy the outdoors, we are very fortunate to have this opportunity in life and to also be able to share with others the beauty of this mountain. For us it has always been so easy to help our friends that travel to Costa Rica to visit, we have helped on arranging travel in other areas of the country and to work out transportation or help in any way that we can with our local knowledge. We look forward to showing you our hospitality and share the magical forest.
