Emanuela is a wonderful host, very attentive, thoughtful and she provided great hospitality. Her place is located close to all amenities and itself is very beautiful. Vico Equense is a very convenient place to stay in this area of Italy.

We picked Emanuela's airbnb based on the reviews and pictures. Unfortunately our stay was not as stellar as others before us. Having said that, the location is stunning and we very much enjoyed the beautiful local town of Vico Enquense. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking and if you are okay with walking up steep inclines the location is great - walking distance to the train station and local restaurants. However, it's important to note that this particular listing is for the room on the ground floor. Although the room is large, it is very dim and there is a musty odor in the room and particularly the dresser. The bed doesn't provide much support, the shower is small and we had a problem with the hot water, which was eventually fixed with a bit of back and forth. There was no extra toilet paper in the bathroom and we had to wait until someone came to the apartment for more. Also the doors to the room are sliding frosted glass doors and do not provide much privacy. You are not able to see completely into the room but you can see when people are moving around in the room, especially at night with the lights on. As this room is on the ground floor, any other guests staying at the guesthouse need to walk by the room to get to the rest of the house. Some of the reviews mentioned a small balcony but this room only has one small window that you cannot see out of. As others have mentioned the wifi here is extremely slow and inconsistent. The only place that has connection is the kitchen. We did appreciate the very nice gentleman who prepared the breakfast every morning. The fresh fruit and coffee was a great morning snack. There is a spread of jams, breads, cereal, etc. We would really only recommend this stay if you are on a budget, don't need access to the internet and just need a basic place to sleep. We have Airbnb'd all over the world for several years and although the view was absolutely stunning from the rooftop and we loved Vico Enquense, we would prefer a bright, clean and more private stay with more attention to the details.

The place is a short (steep, but so is everything along this coastline) walk from the train station. It’s very easy to navigate to and our host provided very detailed instructions. The house itself is located very close to the main square and the town itself is rather small. The room was very spacious and had a small little alcove for watching TV. The space was very clean. The breakfast spread included bread, cereal, yoghurt, pastries and lots of condiments. Each morning it was set out on the table with coffee and tea on offer! Our host was very quick to respond to anything we needed and even accommodated for our early starts by having breakfast set up earlier which we really appreciated! Overall a good stay and easily accessible to the rest of Amalfi and sites such as Pompeii.
