We had a lovely stay here. The house had a homely feel and absolutely stunning views. We found it perfectly located to explore both the Ring of Kerry and Beara Peninsula. It's a short drive away from Kenmare which made this really convenient to pop in for dinner and live music. Most nights we found Crowley's had trad sessions. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if we were to come back to Kerry.

Wir haben ein paar sehr schöne Tage im Fuchsia Cottage verbracht. Sehr guter Ort, um z. B. den Ring of Kerry zu erleben. Kenmare ist in 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen und dort sind Supermärkte, Shops, Restaurants, Pubs, etc. Maria ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Die Einrichtung des Fuchsia Cottage ist nicht immer auf dem neuesten Stand aber alles in allem gemütlich.

We stayed at Fuchsia cottage for 5 days during August. We enjoyed our stay so much! The cottage is lovely, clean, and spacious, we are a family of 5 and had plenty of room. There is everything you could want in the kitchen, all the appliances needed for cooking. Also, a great washer and drier. The view from the cottage is amazing- there's a sea view from almost every room, and a pretty garden which you can use when sunny outside. There is also a cozy fire place which we used once in cold weather. When we arrived there was bread and chease and wine waiting for us. The hoasts Maria and Joop were very frienly and helpful. If we were in need of something they brought it right away. They recommended great places to see and go to, and places to eat and drink. The cottage also had family games, and lots of guide books and toursit brochures that helped us plan our trip. The cottage is in a good location to explore the ring of Kerry and ring of Berra. Also a 45 minute drive from Killarny national park. We definately recommend the place and would stay there again if we came to the area!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Fuchsia Cottage. The interior was clean and cozy and the view was just beautiful. Kenmare is a little village with some nice shops, pubs and cafés. County Kerry is definitely worth two weeks or more if you are into hiking and nature. You can drive both the ring of Beara and the ring of Kerry, worth a day trip each. I reccommend to rent a car or you won't be able to get around easily. The Island Skellig Michael is an hour's drive away, which has become famous now due to Star Wars 7 & 8 having been partly filmed there, the boat tours around it are incredible. Since Maria was such a welcoming and friendly host, we would love to come here again one day!
