La maison de Thanasis est très agréable. Déjeuner ou dîner sur la terrasse est un moment privilégié. Le port est à deux pas, mais le logement est en-dehors de l’agitation. Les hôtes sont très gentils et grew sympathiques. Je recommande !!!

Thanasis’s place checked a lot of boxes. It was very quiet yet very close to the harbor. This was a big plus after reading all of the reviews that caution many hills and stairs to get to your rental. They communicated well, picked me up at the harbor, there was AC and a washer and the price is good. A very nice feature was the roof deck where I spent a lot of time when at the house. One member of the family also provided a baked cake! If i were to offer a critique: the house is a bit dark despite what the pictures would suggest. The exception here is the roof deck which was of course plenty bright.

You can stop searching - rent Maria’s House if you can! It’s a traditional stone house that is attractive, clean, has a full kitchen and a sparkling new bathroom. There’s a little courtyard inside the door from the small lane, and up the stairs is a private terrace that you won’t want to leave! The location is ideal: A very quiet residential neighborhood but close to everything - and there are no steps to climb to get there! Thanasis and his wife live next door and are lovely and helpful - they even bring a freshly baked cake to welcome you. There are many cats in Hydra, but the residents care for them. We bought a bag of food and carried some with us every day. Take good care of Whitey, who sleeps on a shelf outside your door. We lived every minute if our stay in Maria’s House in beautiful Hydra.

Thanasis and Tomai looked after us very well throughout our stay, from meeting me at the port to delivering some delicious homemade cake one afternoon. They were friendly and the guesthouse was in the perfect location, just a few minutes from the main port and surrounded by excellent restaurants.
