Great place to stay in Sapporo! Close to atteactions but far enough from the business of the snow festival to be nice and quiet. Apartment is clean and well suited for 4-5 guests. The apartment was a little cold but the beds and blankets provided kept us cozy. The description mentioned a coffee machine which there wasnt but as only one of us is a coffee drinker it didnt really matter. Overall a pretty good stay.

Terrible experience. The check in time was 16:00 and we arrived at around 15:40-15:45 as the train arrived earlier than we expected. We checked in and we went down for some grocery shopping. After we were back a man broke in the house and told us we had violated the rule and charged us for 2000 yen IN CASH. We understand a rule is a rule so we decided to pay for the violation fee. I tried to explained to the guy, trying to ask for a fee reduction and not to make it tense. This man seemed very very impatient and annoyed, kept saying he did not know English, not trying to read or translate what we wrote on the notes, and started yelling at us, shouting 2000 yen and he would not hear any word from us. This ended up with we shouting with each other. I don’t want to hold prejudice and won’t say the house is bad just because of this experience. It was tidy and cozy. Things were in order except for the heater, as guests were not allowed to turn it up or down even if you feel too hot/cold. Yet the host was the most unforgettable one I’ve ever met.

Makoto was fast in responding and provided good advises on how to keep ourselves from the cold inside the apartment. Near to train station. Family Mart is just steps away and MaxValue Supermarket is just 2 blocks away. The apartment was good enough for 4 persons although it is smaller than expected. The apartment is also not as new as expected based on the photos shown. Be ready for US$10 for each garbage disposal during your stay except for the garbage disposal during check out with no charge which we appreciated. Requesting for a taxi costs US$10 per request. We did not go for that service as using a taxi app called Japan Taxi App is good enough to call for a cab. Bed and pillows were not comfortable and of some age. Blankets are plentiful and able to keep warm although they are also of some age. Not much guidance on how to use the electric stove, washing machine. Overall it is ok, been to a much better apartment. For close to US$200 per night, there are many other more value for money places to stay. Some hotels offered much better rate with better environment. At least hotels do not charge for garbage disposal and do not charge for calling a taxi and most importantly hotel does not restrict the use of heater. It was advised for the apartment’s heater to be off (rest) for 6 hours per day, this creates inconvenience when some guests decided not to go out for any particular day. Dining chairs are shaky and could be dangerous for more healthy guests.
