The Tower in Cudillero was such a wonderful experience. Fernando was a wonderful host who has so much knowledge to share. All 5 of us enjoyed the space and location and were grateful for the experience. If you Air Bnb because you appreciate local experiences and accommodations, you should book this. It might not be right for you if you typically stay in upscale hotels. We loved our stay and are grateful for the experience!

Cudillero is a picturesque seaside village that lives up to the hype. Fernando’s torre is right in the middle of it all. A perfect location. The house is a step back in time and filled with “artifacts”of the past. Truly unique! I had a little concern if it would be uncomfortable due to its age but I found it to be quite lovely and the bed very comfortable. There are windows everywhere so the airflow was incredible! Fernando was an amazing host. Part chaperone part concierge and part historian. He was very proactive in providing very detailed instructions for checkin (No GPS in Cudi). Also very flexible! He is remarkably knowledgeable about not only Cudillero but also seemingly all of Asturias! He gave me advice on where to stop and what to see on my way from Oviedo to Cudi and provided a sequence of beaches to visit on my way to Ribadeo. A fantastic host!

Fernando had some phone issues but once resolved he was great. The apartment is a historical one. It is old but ever so charming. The location is amazing and Cudillero is a rare jewel of a find. We loved the town and felt so comfortable there. Be sure to try the tunnel under the town from the water into the center. Fernando was wonderful in all his recommendations and I only wish we had more time to see all the beauty around the town. He also gave us a historical perspective of The Tower (which is the apt), it was part of the gate house to the old city from the medieval times. He was able to give us specific directions as he said the GPS would not work so well there. Free parking in the harbor.
