Sabine and Juan are the perfect hosts; friendly, responsive, and personal. Their place is a hidden gem with unobstructed views of the nearby town and beautiful surrounding landscape. The large pool and family-friendly facilities ensures everyone’s entertained during their stay. I can’t recommend this place enough

Sabine and Juan were lovely hosts. They were waiting for us on our arrival and explained everything to us. Also they came on our departure and they were very easy to reach for any queries you might have.

It is difficult to overstate how lovely this house and the host are. The house itself is superbly located - perched on the top of a hill a few miles out of town which means it benefits from cooling breezes and is very quiet. There are no near neighbours so the house feels extremely private and the views are amazing! The house itself is also very large indeed, with all the bedrooms having enormous amounts of room - sometimes you stay in houses where the photos have been rather artistically done to make the place look bigger/better than it is in reality - not the case here! The photos are accurate but what they don’t show is how cool and inviting the house is. Even though every room is air conditioned we never used the one in the main room because it simply wasn’t needed. Stepping inside even from the heat of midday the house was noticeably much cooler, but I must admit the air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome at night! Outside there is a small area for basketball and football which the boys very much enjoyed, and the pool too is lovely. Sitting by the side on the abundant loungers, overlooking the valley whilst the children played for hours in the pool was an absolute highlight for me. Whilst not massive the pool was extremely clean and well maintained every day by a gentleman who lived nearby and was refreshing to cool off in. Sabine was also wonderful. Not speaking any Spanish ourselves and thus relying heavily on Google Translate, it would have been something of a nightmare to organise COVID tests completely independently but she very kindly helped us out with that, and was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. She really couldn’t have been friendlier or more approachable. Lora del Rio clearly is not a very “touristy” sort of place but we had a lovely couple of meals out and the bars/restaurants we went in were great. Nobody spoke English, which was actually quite nice and we got by perfectly well with the small amounts of Spanish I’ve managed to learn from Google Translate! There is a very convenient train station so we had days out in Seville and Cordoba and it was very much more convenient to take the train rather than drive. All in all this was a truly amazing house, well located and owned by 2 wonderful people, thank you very much Sabine and Juan for a very memorable holiday.

Buenas. Si grande es la casa mas lo son sus anfitriones, que gran trato y que dedicación para que podamos disfrutar. Si la casa es increíble en fotos más lo es en realidad. Estar allí es un sueño, grandes instalaciones, súper equipada y con unas vistas y piscina inmejorables. Gracias por dejarnos disfrutar de ella.
