It was a great stay. Kiran was very friendly and was very helpful the entire time. He made sure all of us felt comfortable. The place was very clean and food was very nice and felt homely. The host gave us a lot of suggestions to visit nearby. He also helped us with the transportation also. The view was amazing from the stay. Overall We had a very pleasant time at the camp site.

It’s an awesome setting close to nature surrounded by water and the forest..the experience is good for people who want to try camping..clean toilets…good homemade food….helpful and accommodating host.

Location is awesome. It is a comfortable camping experience for those still getting used to the camping idea. All activities are charged over and above the base price. Prices do seem steep but the cause towards which it is used is a reconciliation.

This is truly a wonderful, hidden spot in the middle of the forest. We loved the environment, the rustic feel. I really hope this is not ruined by too many tourists or too much infrastructure. Keep the campsite simple and organic. We highly appreciated the clean bathrooms with good water pressure, clean and spacious tents and sleeping bags. The food served was vegetarian, simple, tasty, and filling (albeit a bit expensive). I suggest coming prepared with your own toiletries (try to carry natural products so the runoff is not harmful to the local environment), bug spray (again, try to go for natural products like Citronella sprays instead of DDT-based ones), towel, bedding material (if you don't like sleeping bags), some torches/lamps, and, last but not the least, well-charged phones (given electricity here is quite patchy). There's a lot of scope for true camping enthusiasts for DIY activities (roast snacks over a bonfire, setup your own bbq, bring your own games to play, etc.) but come prepared with everything you need since nothing is available in this area. The nearest 'store' is many kms away and you'd not want to leave the campsite once you make it there. If you are into star gazing, come with your telescope as we encountered some of the clearest skies we'd ever seen in South India. Don't miss waking up early in the morning to catch beautiful lake views and hike around the site among lush greenery and the teal waters can be spotted from several view points. You can ask the caretakers to help arrange boating in the local boat and identify safe places for swimming. Lastly, I think this can be made into a much more eco-friendly campsite and I hope the guests can be made aware of good practices too when they spend time here. P.S. Please note that the reception is almost non-existent for at least 2-3 hrs as you approach this spot and even at the site only patchy network from Jio is available so you better have the location and detailed instructions from Kiran (which are invaluable) available offline / open Maps directions in advance / contact Kiran and clear any doubts in advance. You might want to have at least one person who speaks Kannada to easily communicate with the caretakers (Shashi and Sachin are very sweet and helpful!) or locals you encounter while finding this place. Try to make it to the campsite before sundown since driving in this area at night can be tough.

Great place just at the banks of sharavathi waters. Nice place for short hikes/treks too
