The day that we got to Petra, the internet was down in the whole region. Everyone was talking about it so I don’t think it happens often. We only had a local SIM card with data and no calling minutes. Yousef had asked us to notify him of our arrival time by Watsapp two hours before arrival, but because there was no internet connection, we were unable to. We arrived in Petra late in the evening and got ahold of Yousef by a miracle. From the Airbnb reviews, I had expected a lot more interaction with the host. That he would spend the evening with us and talk to us about the Bedouin culture and help us find some dinner. That wasn’t our experience but he was nice and he was available as soon as we called. The cottage is about a 15-minute drive from any restaurants. We were amazed that we were warm in December with howling wind.

Yousef’s cottage is an amazing place. It’s strategically located at few minutes drive from Little Petra. It’s surrounded by beautiful mountains and at night is extremely peaceful and calm. The best moment is in the morning when you wake up and enjoy the view of the mountains from the garden 🤩 The place is recommended for those who are looking (and ready) for a full immersion in the Petra’s atmosphere and lifestyle. Thank you Yousef for hosting us. We hope to be back soon in your wonderful place !

We are 4 travellers and it was perfect, we loved it. Special thanks for the heating (January) and tea, cofee. The cleaning could be better inside but also the surrounding area had some garbage. This is for the future guests: do not leave garbage in the area! Overall it was a perfect stay for reasonable price and we loved it, it was speciall and not like hotells which are all the same. This was unique and communications with Yusuf was perfect. Thank you so much
