The home worked great for our large family. Lots of space, clean and beautiful yard. Loved the boat deck.

The house was great, a lot of room for the family to spread out. The kids had their own space downstairs with a tv and large couch. The upstairs was nice with a great view of the lake. The bedrooms were large and beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We live only 1.5 hours away so we shopped and brought most of our food up, however there is a Food Lion 15 minutes away. There are a few things that need to be updated, the house has three kayaks however only one decent paddle, the kayaks themselves are in rough shape. There was only one life jacket. There are no beach size towels to use down at the boathouse so you have to use bath towels or bring your own. There are no lounge chairs, only table chairs or the plastic Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. Overall the house is nice and the surrounding area is very quiet. If you bring dogs, like we did, beware that there is a large hound penned up next-door and made his presence known when we got there.

Our family of 6 adults, 2 kids, and 3 dogs had a wonderful stay at Vacasa Virginia. The place was spacious and had enough seating for everyone at the dining table. The bedrooms were spacious and the 3 full bathrooms were clean and updated. Nice touches like lots of hangers in the closet as well as TP, paper towels, and soap provided to get you started without having to run to the store first thing for basics. The kitchen had lots of plates and cups but was missing a few essentials like a pot holder and baking sheet. The house had lots of games provided and a wonderful view of the lake. The house is tidy, but could probably use a deep deep clean like scrubbing the walls down and a thorough washing of the comforters. The neighborhood is a gated community so it felt very safe and was also nice and quiet. Food Lion had an extensive selection of food and the local restaurant recommendations in the house book were great. Host was responsive to questions when contacted prior to our arrival.

property was hard to find. driveway long and unlit. leaves and broken tree branches covering front and rear deck. key got stuck in door knob. furniture is old and dirty. water heater was leaking. most problems were addressed by the end of the evening. the stuck key was removed but the house was unable to be secured. I know this property is mostly a summer venue but that is no excuse for the condition it was rented in. bedrooms above the garage are extremely cold as are the downstairs rooms.
