This is a great place to stay if you are wanting to walk around and spend lots of time in the city. It’s very central and there are lots of places near by to eat, shop and explore. The bathroom floor was wooden and there was no differentiation between the shower and the rest of the floor, making showers messy. Also, wood should not be the shower floor. That is a recipe for mold. The communication and recommendations were fantastic though, and it was very nice to be in the heart of Hanoi.

Great location. Right next door to the womens museum. The southern part of the central lake is by far so much cleaner with wider streets, its more where locals hang out. The no rthern part is very noisy and crowded with tourists and hawkers. If thats your thing then go for it. Its an easy walk from this apartment to everything you need to see but a much less tourist trap vibe. There is a beautiiful Vegetarian resturant just around the corner and patisserie across the road.

The place is on a big road and first floor without windows that keep sound out. So sound was a little bit of an issue... Didn't sleep past 730am. Huong was prepared and very thoughtfully gave us ear plugs to resolve this issue. So Huong was super nice, communicated well, really took care of the place, which was clean and cozy. She provided some tips and pics on whatsapp but I suggest you discover your own special restaurants. I like that it was outside of old quarter but not much going on later in evening.

Huong is an amazing host. She arranged my airport pickup and stayed in touch when my flight was delayed. She provided me with great food tips, took me on her bike to arrange a sim card upon arrival and provided me with a lot of usefull information regarding my upcoming trips in Vietnam. The appartment is in a good walking distance from Hanoi’s hightlights just outside the busiest part of of town. Good bed, AC and warm water.
