This place is cool if you like eclectic or salvaged builds. It was super cosy with a lot of beautiful foliage around. Think blankies, ambient lamps, cushions, fireplace, quiet etc.

Jean’s home was absolutely gorgeous; bright, quirky, spacious and well appointed. We loved the beautiful big veranda for relaxing, playing games and taking in the ambient surrounds. The surrounding area was just as beautiful, great for bush walking. The little pool was a pleasant surprise which we took advantage of during our Summer stay. Just be mindful if you are staying here with kids or young adults, Jean and neighbours like it quiet at 10pm on the dot 🤫🫡

The property is in a small rural residential location well situated for visiting the surrounding area. The host is absolutly lovely and was a pleasure to interact with. The house is very comfortable and functional. It shows some age and has some funky design and decoration, a plus or minus entirely depending on your personal taste. The general area seemed very tranquil and the house is walking distance to a national park. Numerous species of native birds and gray kangaroos were seen in the yard, which was nice. A downside to the bird life was that the domestic roosters and peacock adjacent to the property started calling loudly and in ernest at 3 AM every morning. They were a very effective feathered alarm clock that made for nice early starts to the day which we came to appreciate as it gave us more time out on the trail before the heat and bushflies picked up in the bush. Many sections of the jarrah-marri forest in the area are very scenic with wonderful banksia and grasstrees.
