Superbe endroit! Dimitris est un hote excellent toujours pret a aider et disponible a tout moment. Lali est une cuisinière extraordinaire et très serviable. La maison est hyper agreable avec beaucoup de coins a l ombre ideaux pour la sieste. Et l ile de syros a ete une veritable revelation pour nous tres sauvage peu touristique qui se differentie des autres iles des cyclades! Bref nous avons absolument adore notre séjour !

The property is an utter gem. Both the house and the garden. The location is excellent. This is a house of immense character, an elegant 19th C residence set in a lovely well maintained garden with shady pine trees, vines - a gorgeous pool. We were a group of 10 persons, plenty of space in the house with room to spare - the morning breakfasts or evening drinks under the trees all around the large marble table in the garden are a lasting memory. The proprietor Mr Dimitris is an outstanding host, attentive and very responsive yet not getting in the way.

Beautiful and confortable villa in a quiet neighborhood. This 19th century summer house gives a unique experience of Syros. Very well appointed and especially convenient for a family reunion. Dimitri and Lalie made our stay very enjoyable and helped with every detail

We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Evangalini for a week with our family of 15. We were on Syros to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. Right from the beginning Dmitri (the owner) met us at the port and gave us a two-hour tour of his family's estate. He and his wife purchased the property over 30 years ago and painstakingly rebuilt it to both feel historic, and to have all modern the amenities. Each room has its own personal character. We ended up eating every meal together outdoors--dinner on the giant marble table, breakfast in smaller more intimate settings. We spent a lot of time at and in the pool--probably the nicest on the island. The garden is filled with secrets, fruit trees, and plenty of shade for the warm days. Dmitri showed us the short-cut to the beach less than a ten minute walk away. The local neighborhood has many delightful establishments including two bakeries, the farmer who opens his/her shop all morning long with the best tomatoes and cucumbers around, George's the local restaurant we frequented across the street, and a bakery in the next village that had some of the best cake and pastries in Greece. Dmitri was always helpful, and just an all around great host. I would highly recommend Villa Evangalini for family celebrations.

Séjour tout à fait remarquable à tous les niveaux. En premier lieu la villa est superbe, de style néoclassique avec des grands volumes, une restauration de qualité, une décoration éclectique pleine de charme, d’histoire, des chambres aux couleurs lumineuses, de grands volumes et de beaux matériaux. Elle est parfaitement bien équipée . Sa situation est idéale, entourée de belles villas néoclassiques , en retrait et à proximité des plages . Le jardin est tout aussi remarquable et fait autant partie du cadre de vie, de grande taille,bien entretenu : il alterne des parcelles d’arbres fruitiers, de grands pins, des espaces à l’ombre agrémentés de petite tables avec chaises ou de chaise longue. Grand parking d’accès facile entouré d’arbres . La table extérieure est le point central de vie, illuminée le soir par une guirlande extérieure . L’éclairage nocturne du jardin est bien conçu et rend l’atmosphère magique. Nous avons de plus été très bien accueillis à notre arrivée par Dimitri à la sortie du ferry qui nous a accompagnés à l’agence de location de voitures, puis conduits à la villa qu’il nous a présentée et a terminé par un petit tour en voiture aux alentours pour nous faire découvrir les restaurants , les plages toutes proches et agréables et les principaux commerces . Tout est fait pour faciliter la vie . Séjour de 5 étoiles !
