We had the most fantastic time staying with Mai and her family. If you want an authentic homestay with a beautiful family who will help you find the best experience in Sapa then this is it. Delicious home cooking, beautiful house away from the hustle and bustle. Mai went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and cared for. She showed us a nearby trek, which we did slowly over the course of a day stopping in local villages for food and coffee. Mai also helped us arrange all transfers and transport we needed with a taxi driver familiar with the winding misty roads. We had so much fun playing with her two beautiful children and cards with the whole family. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know.

Chapi Dreamy Home is exactly how we pictured. It was our first time to Sapa, and the town was an assault on the senses. So you can imagine when Mai helped us get a taxi for a pick-up to her home, it was like going to a very peaceful and serene home in the rolling clouds and mountains, full of joy, family and animals. We liked that her, alongside her family and friend also named Mai, were very kind and friendly. Mai is a wonder woman who can manage many things - she cooks really well, homeschools her kids, and is fun and lovely to communicate with. Her kids also welcomed my 4yo and played with her. Admittedly, I had to trouble her for things like booking a taxi and so on as my husband hurt his leg, but she helped and even gave us medicated ointment to apply. To note - the room you stay in is partitioned by a curtain and wooden panels which we knew of in advance and enjoyed. The location is remote which was exactly what we wanted. Overall, a very great and enjoyable stay.

Ich war mit meinen 2 kleinen Kindern zu Gast bei Mai und ihrer Familie. Dieser Homestay war was ganz besonderes, die Lage ist sehr abgelegen aber unfassbar schön, das Haus ein Zuhause zum Wohlfühlen und Mai und ihre Familie herzensgute Menschen. Wir haben uns auch von ihr verpflegen lassen und es war sehr gut! Mai hat uns bei der Organisation und Ticketbuchung geholfen. Unsere Kinder haben sich total wohl gefühlt und das Abschied nehmen fiel uns schwer. Wir können einen Aufenthalt dort sehr empfehlen.

Wir waren 3 Nächte bei Mai und ihrer Familie. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit, in eine ruhigen Lage abseits der Touristenmassen. Man wohnt mit der Familie in ihrem Haus und bekommt so auch deren Leben mit. Ban Mais 2 kleine Kinder sprechen hervorragend englisch und überhaupt war die Kommunikation auf englisch kein Problem. Man wird von den Kindern auch mal in ihre Spiele einbezogen und unterhalten, weshalb man sich direkt als Teil des Hauses und nicht nur als Gast gefühlt hat. Mit Mai konnten wir uns auch gut über alles mögliche unterhalten. Mai hat für uns eine Wandertour mit Guide organisiert, das ging auch kurzfristig und nach unseren Vorstellungen. Was für uns kein Problem war aber was man wissen sollte: Es ist ein Holzhaus und man schläft unterm Dach, also bekommt man Wind und Wetter mit. Das Zimmer ist mit dünnen Holzwänden und Vorhang vom Rest des Hauses abgetrennt. Es gibt Holzfeuer im Kamin. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt mit lecker Essen in einem empfehlenswerten Airbnb. :)
