From the beginning to end,the communication was spot-on. We were introduced to.the place and welcomed with a smile by Dorothy. Felt right at home. The breakfast was superior and absolutely no complaints whatsoever with thr hospitality. They even prepared oatmeal for our little one in the breakfast. Though we did felt a certain degree if coldness from Rick the owner - not sure if that was due to our toddler being little louder for the place, we tried our best to keep him calm. We were just let down that the rooms were not the right fit for small kids - though I have to say they did everything they could to help us (provided us with crib for our small one) but the setup and everything just didn't fit, e.g. there was one bathroom in the bedroom rather than accessible from outside, no darkout curtains. Overall a great place for couples - with the location being a plus!

Rick's whimsical stay is lovely. I highly recommend it as a romantic getaway or for families alike. My 1 and 4 yo loved their stay.

We LOVED our stay at the Jabberwock Inn. Our room was perfect - we traveled with our daughter, and having two rooms was great so that she could get to sleep early and we could stay up without disturbing her. The views were stunning and the location cannot be beat - just a short walk to Cannery Row and a number of great shops and restaurants, yet secluded and quiet. And the breakfast and hors d'oeuvres were stellar - best food we had the whole trip. Rick and Suzanne were incredible hosts and we look forward to the Jabberwock Inn being our home base for all future trips to Monterey.

This place is such a gem. We found it by accident after another host cancelled on us and how lucky we were! It’s gorgeous, Dorothy and Rick are very kind and the food is amazing. Will definitely be back many times. You won’t regret your stay here!

Feels like home. Wonderful relaxing setting. Host made dinner reservations for us and was very helpful with local information. I recommend renting bikes or if your kids are older scooters and touring the historic houses. Dont forget the seals by the beach..adorable! They served a wonderful breakfast so we where ready to start our day. A++
