Beautiful little cottage on a farm, with lovely walks close by and some great pubs for food. Close to the Monsal, Tissington and High Peak trails for cycling , walking and running. Those can get busy in good weather but there are plenty of other lovely walk options where you have the trails to yourself. The games room was brilliant on a couple of rainy days and we had some great bacon, eggs and jam from the little farm shop on site. There are lovely sheep and lambs on the farm as well as goats, pigs and cows, so be comfortable that your dog is calm around livestock, particularly in lambing season. We had a lovely stay with our dog. There were a few rainy days, so the dog wash on site was super handy for him and for our muddy boots. Would recommend Thornbridge Brewery for pizza, beer and board games after a walk.

A lovely lovely place to stay! Our second visit to the Cowshed and just as lovely as it was last year! Spotlessly clean, spacious and a great area! Thanks once again!

Such a lovely peaceful place to stay - cosy in the cold and bright and open in nice weather. Really comfortable and our toddler loved the playbarn!!!! Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend with our girls and the 2 dogs, the cottage was perfect with everything you could possibly need and attention to detail was amazing, walks straight out of the door with beautiful scenery all around! Games room a big plus with Julia and her husband great hosts, chatty and very helpful with local information! Would definitely recommend and shall certainly return ! 5 stars !!!

Cowshed cottage is located in a beautiful area with outstanding views. The area is perfect for walks and many scenic sites and historic houses, The cottage is exceptionally well furnished and equipped- everything is good quality and cleaning standards are high. Decor, furnishings and accessories are tasteful. The welcome goodies were lovely ( wine, coffee, eggs, biscuits etc) and there was lots of useful information. Hosts are friendly and welcome. The games room is fun and the honesty farm shop has superb meat. Highly recommend it .
