Le gîte est situé dans une propriété magnifique, le parc et la piscine sont très bien entretenus , il y a des transats et parasols disponibles sans problème. La maison est très jolie, bien décorée, bien équipée, confortable. Le côté salon s’avère un peu petit pour 2 couples mais nous avons vécu dehors la plupart du temps , sur la terrasse. Nous avons pu prendre tous nos repas dehors ( anti moustiques recommandé !) En contrebas de la propriété il y a une belle promenade le long de la Dordogne très agréable. On trouve les commerces nécessaires au village. Catherine et Gérard sont très réactifs en cas de besoin mais aussi discrets . Semaine très agréable, nous reviendrons. Je recommande.

Lieu très agréable proches des commodités mais très calme. Magnifique parc arboré le long de la Dordogne accueillant une grande piscine. Le gîte est très bien équipé et les propriétaires très accueillants .

Un emplacement exceptionnel ! Le logement surplombe la Dordogne et donne accès à un grand parc ainsi qu’une piscine très grande. Un vrai cadre rare et privilégié. Nous avons pu profiter de l’accès direct à la piste cyclable qui longe la Dordogne. Le logement dispose de tous les commodités nécessaires. Nos filles ont pu découvrir des Paons dans le parc et ramener de belles plumes. A proximité, deux petites boutiques pour faire ses courses ainsi qu’un pizzeria succulente. Catherine a su tout à la fois être présente et discrète. Un emplacement très bien situé pour réaliser les visites dans les Périgord Pourpre ainsi que le Périgord noir. Je recommande chaudement ce logement.

Stop looking for somewhere to stay and stay here. It is perfect, beautiful, tranquil, and the pool is one of the nicest I’ve used - 15m long so you can really swim, in a gorgeous big ‘Parc’ overlooking the river. Ignore the address: ‘rocade’ means ring road but this is NOT on a ring road, it’s just off a minor road going along the side of the river, through a sleepy village with an exceptionally friendly bar with terrace and a great takeaway pizza place. There’s a little supermarket and a boulangerie. Make sure you find out about Mouleydier’s WWII history and you will see the village through different eyes. We stayed in the two bed gite, an ‘orange tie’ with tall windows looking out over the huge garden. The kitchen works well, there are two shower rooms and toilets, and upstairs there were three single beds. It’s well decorated and in good condition and you have a terrace of your own with a big table for eating outside. WiFi was quite fast - we had to do some work while we were there and it was fast enough for video conferencing. Catherine and Gerard own it and are really nice people. Catherine was kind enough to show us some of the main house, and three of the rooms you can stay in. Her eye for colour and texture and the most opulent fabrics is astounding. Gerard is an antiques dealer and the two huge salons are a feast to look at. Everything is interesting, everything is original. Upstairs is a kind of suite, the likes of which you will never have stayed in before. The little lounge is in a tower with circular windows looking straight down onto the river and the mirrors and patterns in the wall almost feel like you’re in a hanging garden, and the big bedroom that comes off it is rich with deep colours and surprising touches that will make you grin. And the price was very reasonable for such originality and high quality and how much love has been poured into those rooms. I just wish I had an eye like Catherine’s. The place is about 10 minutes drive into Bergerac, about an hour from Sarlat (which was too much of a tourist honeypot for us, but we loved Souillac). Belvès and Domme - picture postcard hilltop villages worth a stop - are 30-49 mins. Lalinde is 8-10 mins and is a charming small town with an Intermarche. There is a cycle path right in front of this beautiful place, which goes for miles. Close by is La bastide Capraise, a decent little restaurant with three menus (but no a la carte) which also does tapas in the early evening for which you don’t book, just turn up. The host had one of the loveliest, most genuine smiles I’ve seen in ages, even behind his protective mask! Everyone ate outside, plenty of space between tables, you are greeted by someone with hand sanitiser as you arrive, so in these Covid 19 times it felt reasonable safe. But back to La Rebiere D’Or, you won’t anything else like this. It will make your holiday. Stay here.
