自我介绍

Hi! I've lived in Emporia my entire life, I doubt I'd ever want to leave. I have 2 grown children and have a wonderful man of 27 years. I run 2 cemeteries and have been doing that for 13 years. My home is next door to my childhood home (my mom still lives there, which can be a blessing and a curse haha) My home was left to me from my dad when he passed away at work from a massive heart attack at the age of 60 (yeah my mom and dad were separated for 25 years but they lived right next door to each other, super long story :) Along with the house I also inherited the mortgage and my dad and I were working on the house together (he lived in one apartment, I stayed in the apartment beside his) to update and repair a lot of things that were in need but when he passed away I kind of put a lot of things on the back burner. I am now trying to finish what my dad and I started not only for myself but for the memory of my dad also. He loved this house, as do I. So not only is this house my home, it is very sentimental to me and has a lot of memories of my dad. Putting my apartments on Airbnb is helping to get a lot of work done. I know there are still things that need to be done and there always will be, but I do try my very best to provide a comfortable, clean and affordable place to stay and with each visit it helps me towards these expenses. September 2021 I was able to put a brand new tin roof and new gutters on the house thanks to all of my wonderful guests!! It was quite the expense but it was well worth it. I only wish my daddy could've been here but I felt him in my heart stronger than ever when the roofers started tearing that old roof off. Thank you all for staying with us.
