This place was good: clean, spacious, good communication. We came up for skiing at Schweitzer and it is about 30 mins away. My only suggestion is there is absolutely nothing for cooking other than salt and pepper. I'm used to having a few more basics - additional spices, oil etc. Finally, I'm super happy they allow dogs, this is the main reason we stayed here but I agree with other reviews and thought the pet fees were a little excessive. Also we didn't get a chance to visit the hot tub, the afternoon we walked over there is was closed because the heater was broken. Overall a good stay though and we'd stay here again.

We loved Dover Bay! Very dog friendly with great walking trails and a nice restaurant/bar with good food just steps from our cabin. Comfortable and clean accommodations. The kitchen is very minimal in terms of amenities, but we made due. We were there to ski at Schweitzer, which was an easy 30 min drive away. Sandpoint is just 8 mins away and has great restaurants, breweries, and shops. I'd definitely stay at DB again for the dog-friendliness and convenience of it. I'd just say they need to dial back the pet fees, but other than that, great place.

Dover Bay is truly a fantastic, full-service family-oriented lake resort. The cabins are in great condition and are very comfortable. The proximity to the lake and to a full-service marina with boat rentals makes Dover Bay a one-stop-shop for lake lovers. The public common areas are well landscaped with tons of green grass. There is a sandy beach with swim area. This place is very dog friendly as well. We plan to return next Summer!

We had a great time at this little cabin close to the lake. Communication was very good including when we (unfortunately) had to change the dates of our stay. The cabin came well equipped and we were able to use the provided propane BBQ several times. The AC worked great (during a very hot week) and hot water was via on demand tankless heater (great since four of us were using the cabin). The provided TV wasn’t huge but did have built in apps. Internet is good, given the semi-rural location, but can get congested in the evenings. We enjoyed use of the fitness center (well equipped) and the saltwater pool but found the pool hours (10AM-8PM) somewhat limiting given the warm weather and long days. There is a small park nearby that’s good for dogs (on leash) but more importantly had a great “beach” area and floating pier where the kids can swim and play (a hit with our two girls). We were surprised the restaurant closed during the majority of our stay due to “excessive heat”…yes, it was quite hot, but seemed a great chance to sell some drinks to keep folks cool! The cabin was on the pricier side, but you do get a lot for your money and everything is well maintained. No doubt you’ll enjoy your stay here.

Beautiful location, excellent facilities (marina, pool, restaurant, etc.). The cabins are cute, clean and modern. Quiet and family friendly. We will definitely go again.
