I spent 2 nights in Sumba Dream, host is very nice, very kind, treat me and my wife like her children.. the foods were amazing, the room is superb.. i like the view, the vibe, very traquil place.. is 90 minutes from airport, my suggestion dont forget to bring your favorite snacks/anything you want because the market is far from the resort.. otherwise you can ask Blandine if you forget to buy something.. will be back here sooner or later, ciao

This place is truly a hidden gem. It is located on a very remote paradise beach. The beach is completely untouched with white sand mile after mile. I didn't think it was possible to experience this kind of untouched nature (not even a single piece of trash on the beach) any more. I could not recommend this place more to people who want to experience something truly magical off the beaten track. The owners have a beautiful motor boat which can be rented by the hour to go snorkeling or fishing. I highly recommend this! The turqouise color of the water is really something extra! There are also canoes on the property which can be borrowed. To think about - the resort is a very bumpy 30 minutes 4 wheel drive off a main road so it is really not possible to go anywhere else to eat. The hostess Blandine cooks family style meals which are really good, but you will have to pay extra for lunch and dinner. If you want to go for a day tour to see, and swim in, one of the stunning waterfalls of west Sumba, as well as look at traditional villages and weaving you need to rent the owners car. This was a little pricy, but still worth it. Make sure to inquire about the additional costs when booking. The owner is very good at responding quickly. All in all this is an amazing place and I highly recommend it.
