Our stay at the Frosted Castle was everything we’d hoped. My two friends and I were in town for the First Lady’s luncheon and attendant events, and Anand and Lisa’s house was the perfect home base, accessible (we traveled mostly by ride share) to the White House, Capitol, museums, and restaurants. Our hosts cheerily accommodated food and beverage delivery the day we arrived, stocking items in the fridge and wine chiller. Upon our arrival (flight delayed by a freak rain/hail storm), Anand showed us the easy-to-use door code and gave us a full tour of the well-appointed home. The kitchen was stocked with glass and tableware, coffee maker and pods, sweeteners, creamers, teas, snacks, and other items to cook, if desired. The house offers thoughtful touches such as sensor lights, heated-seat bidets in the bathrooms, pump-style soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers, and plenty of towels. Also iron and board, umbrellas, couch throws, books, and games. Heartily recommended! 😊
My family of seven had an amazing four-night stay - we range in age from 18 months to 75 years, and everyone was comfortable and delighted with the amenities. (A couple of the toys supplied at the house became favorites over the weekend - we're going to have to get duplicates for the toddler when we get home!) The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, communicative, and explained every detail of the house in person, which was both really helpful and also showed a level of care and affection for the house that's reflected in how well it's outfitted. The location is incredibly convenient as a staging ground for a tourist jaunt through the city, or beautiful and exciting as a place to stay and explore on its own merits. If you're a group that appreciates luxurious bathrooms and wine fridges as much as a Jenga set, you can't go wrong. This is a fabulous place hosted by fabulous people!

Anand and Lisa are perhaps the nicest hosts I’ve ever met. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a good time. Their home is beautiful and is in an unbeatable location. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were amazing. There was very little street noise despite being so central. We slept soundly. I would highly recommend their Airbnb and stay here again myself.
My friends and I recently booked a stay at Anand and Lisa's Airbnb and it exceeded all our expectations. The location was ideal, the place was spotless and inviting, and they truly went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. I enthusiastically recommend this Airbnb to anyone in search of outstanding lodging while traveling. It definitely deserves a 5-star rating!

We are both enthusiastic world travelers, who have ventured to countries in Europe, Africa, Central America, Asia and The U.S. It is fascinating to travel to new places and to experience new cultures and faces from around the world. It has greatly helped us to improve the level of service and the amenities that we normally offer. Anand is a native born Washingtonian, who has watched his city go through a roller coaster of change over the last 55+ years. He has been raised here and has worked as a White House photojournalist in the family owned photography business. Lisa Marie, who is a full time Interior Artist and Designer in Washington DC, traces her roots from the rolling vineyards and farmlands of the beautiful Finger Lakes of up-state New York. Her many projects include artistic design, consulting, staging, project management and rehab of numerous high-end commercial and residential projects, in and around Washington DC. Together, Anand and Lisa have combined their artistic talents to create a dazzling and memorable experience for guests and visitors. For Anand, hospitality goes all the way back to his father's and mother's humble home, where an endless line of world visitors would stop by on their way through the nation's capital. As a rule, no one ever left their house without first eating a hot meal and sharing good times with the family. From Lisa Marie's historic hometown of Seneca Falls, hospitality has been a long tradition, with the many famous bed and breakfast homes in her area. She learned early in life that every traveller's visit and needs are both special and unique. "Out goal is always to make sure that every traveller's stay is comfortable, convenient and memorable!"
