When you are from a small town like Edison, it’s more likely that you will have to find lodging in a nearby town when visiting home. Well, I do not have that issue any longer! The UP House was a perfect sanctuary for my fiancé and me while visiting Edison. The home is spacious and has beautiful surroundings. It is super close to our small town’s local grocery and convenience stores and a short drive to shopping and more in Albany and other surrounding towns. I definitely plan to stay here whenever I am returning home to visit!

When arriving at the Farm house, I knew we were in the country, what I didn't know is that it was going to be Pitch Black. Almost, like a Black Out. There were no lights to guide you to the resident, no lights in the driveway. No lights period. #1 Lights would have been helpful. After getting settled, I took a bath in the hallway bathroom and the water was luke warm. (pretty much cold) I didn't let the water touch my overall body. I washed from the faucet. During the night around 1am, my friend called me while inside her room telling me all her lights were out and the outlets didn't work and she COULDN'T GET OUT HER ROOM. So, I had to rescue her because some sort of child lock was on the door. I started calling numbers in the information book to see where the power box was located. It took over 20 minutes to reach someone. Out of 5 numbers, VOICEMAILS were full, one contact was DECEASED almost 3 years, but he was in the book in case of an emergency.
