When you explore a special place sometimes you don’t know how special a home can be. Barbara is such a wonderful host and has a unique and beautiful home that it’s difficult to find words. Gemütlich, Heimat, Wald are all untranslatable and you can only experience them here in Lipburg, in Barbara’s “Zur Alten Dame”. Discover old German traditions. Live in a wonderfully recovered traditional German Schwarzwald home. Walk the Schwarzwald. Live as many generations have since Roman times or even before. If you want to live new experiences, this is one you should not miss. We enjoyed every minute. Rob & Lisi

We stayed at Barbara's house over Christmas, and it was the perfect setting. The house is super comfortable and cosy, and has all the amenities that you need. Barbara was a wonderful host - she helped us organise special local treats for Christmas and gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Would love to return.

This historic home in Lipburg is away from the city and offers a quiet retreat to spend time with family and a great location to explore the region, especially the Black Forest. The stay was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever. The relaxed location was perfect for our large multigenerational family gathering. We really appreciated the local tips and reservations by our host who went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable experience.
