My wife and I couldn't have found a better place in Regua to stay. DO NOT USE AIRBNB'S "GET ME THERE OPTION" AS IT WILL TAKE YOU TO #499 on the street. The actuall is #9. Andre was very helpful to help us get unlost. Not his fault but a glitch in Airbnb website Anna is the host that received us. Super nice representative. Cannot say enough nice things about her. First thing I noted when stepping into yhe guest house was how good it smelled. Pleasant vanilla type smell.without being overpowering. We got the room with the balcony. It is small but still we sat on the floor of the balcony each evening and enjoyed cheese, sardines, and bread from the neighborhood grocer. Super quiet neighborhood. Have the breakfast here. If you cannot, u are missing out. Anna is the cook and she makes the best eggs I have ever had. The spread of food is impressive. Anna is the highlight of our visit and she is so personable and really wanted to make our stay wonderful. She succeeded

A beautiful home and property. Quality all the way! For some reason I thought there would be views of the Douro River from there, but no views. Pool was cold even though temps were hot. There is a nice lower terrace to sit and relax. We had trouble finding the exact house. It’s on the left side of the one way street. Blue gate, white building with low blue band with the name of the bnb way up high. Parking is on the street and it’s free. I’m sharing this here in the hopes it helps someone else. Cute town in my opinion. Pinhao was 30 minute drive and not as cute.

B&B mit einigen Zimmern. Neue Ausstattung und in Top Zustand. Frühstück ist gut. Zum Essen empfehle ich Tasquinha do Cruzeiro in Frontelas, weil die Entfernung zur Stadtmitte fast identisch ist. Restaurant liegt am Berg weiter oben. Familienbetrieb vom feinsten.

A great place to stay despite the host never responding back to our messages on Airbnb. You will need to take a taxi from the Regua train station. Then buzz the door and Ana will come check you in. Ana is fantastic! She helped us get to our rooms and arranged an early 8am breakfast for us, since we had a Douro Wine tour booked at 9am pick up. The room is nicely laid out, super clean with air conditioning. We used the pool on our 1st night and picked up some snacks and wine at the supermarket behind the guesthouse. You’ll need to arrange a taxi yourself to get back to the train station or walk 30mins. We tried to contacting the host Andre to ask for help with booking a taxi since we were leaving very early but no response. Luckily we were able to ask our Douro wine tour guide Andreia. It’s a must to do her tour when you are in town. You can book Andreia’s wine tour through Airbnb. Great little town to stay at and very walkable to town for dinner.
