We have been very disappointed with our stay. We were moved to a different apartment last minute due to water damage in the apartment listed. The new apartment was similar to the original and the host tried to ensure that they could cater to our needs (such as ensuring the same bed configuration and having access to the pool). Unfortunately when we arrived we found this apartment was in a filthy state. Dirty toilets, hair in the shower cubicles, stains on the couch & lamp shades, dust on aircon units & mirrors, stained bed sheets, dirty skirting boards, dirty windows on the inside of the apartment etc. We returned to speak to Joanne about these issues and she organised for the cleaners to come back and clean the bathroom and toilets, plus change the bed sheets and give us an extra one to cover the dirty stained couch. She was understanding that we expected a high level of cleanliness as we were travelling with two small children. Joanne explained that the stained furniture was basically wear and tear. Which we can understand to an extent, but it was disgusting. I’d recommend a deep clean or replacement of the furniture and fittings as this really lets down the property and is not worth the money. The welcome pack also asks that we remove our own rubbish and wash our dishes. I don’t really mind but when you’re paying a high cleaning fee, I’m sure the cleaners can take out the rubbish (because they weren’t doing much else...) plus, if you want dishes washed it’s best to leave some detergent! I believe this apartment has probably been used for many drunken parties and it’s definitely not suitable for families. The view was beautiful and the area is fine during the day for kids but I’d avoid all together and the food offerings are completely rubbish. Finally, we had a reminder email to check out at 10am when we had already requested and been granted a late check out. This was the final irritant to top off a disappointing stay. I won’t be recommending this place especially if you are travelling as a family.
