A beautiful spacious apartment for two people, fitted out with very attractive and comfortable furnishings. Really it was just what we needed at this time as we had a particular reason for wanting to stay in the village of Stourton Caundle. It is an extremely quiet village and might not suit everyone for this reason, but the local Trooper Inn is very welcoming and the food, on the nights they serve meals, was excellent.

We stayed for three nights to decompress after Christmas. We were looking for a quiet, private and well maintained place with a host that their stuff. This is exactly what we got and were very happy with everything. Is very private, set away from the main house and extremely well-maintained. After horrendous traffic, we arrived a little late and in the dark to be met by Jane who could not have been more welcoming. We had a couple of conversations on the phone on the way down and arrived to find our immediate needs very well catered for. Our only disappointment was, we did not get the chance to try the private Garden as the weather was soaking wet and dull. I have no doubt this will be excellent in the summer for people that want to get away from it all and enjoy the privacy one cannot get in town. Thoroughly recommend this place, really really good.

When I arrived in the village at 7.30/8pm I found it difficult to locate the annexe. I tried to contact the host, due to the signal I could not get hold of them but did have prior warning that WiFi was down due to their being a car accident 5 days prior. Upon entering the property, apart from there being no WiFi due to unforeseen circumstance, I felt that the facilities weren’t that great,
