Nous avons passé un week-end agréable à 3 personnes dans cette villa (et non 10 comme prévu initialement). La villa est magnifique dans un cadre réellement paradisiaque sous la pluie comme sous le soleil. Les locaux gérant la maison sont très accueillants et serviables. Nous aurions, cependant, aimé être au courant par la description de l'annonce de la possibilité de ne pas avoir d'électricité et d'eau et non après avoir réservé.

The house is nice and spacious enough for a group of 4 people! The island setting is beautiful! Great place to relax and disconnect. Be aware that the setting is very remote (no supermarkets or restaurants) and you need to bring all groceries from Mbour. The water is from an underground well and electricity is solar. We experienced a 12 hour long water and electricity cut. Bring fly spray. There are additional costs such as transfer by wooden fishing boat “pirogue” (wooden fishing boat)for the rough sea crossing to the island, at 15,000 CFA ($30)each way while the local price is just 500 CFA. Despite the inflated price, we had to call the host to prevent her staff member from loading up the craft with extra passengers (not ideal during covid!)and sheep/goats. On the morning of our departure, the house staff tried to make us check out an hour early (11am instead of midday checkout time listed on Airbnb)and cleaned on top of us while we were trying to pack as a Senegalese guest from a nearby village had arrived early. Amy, the cleaning lady mentioned in other reviews sat in our house all morning and uses the bathroom facilities which is not reflected on the listing and might not be ideal for guests looking for more privacy. While some activities around the area were offered, they were extremely overpriced. On the last day, we opted to take the nearby hotel Keur Papaye’s proper boat to leave the island as the price was similar and their boat much safer. The owner of the fishing boat (villa Amynata staff member) then tried to prevent us from taking a different method of transportation to leave the island.

Zeker alle prijzen op voorhand lezen en per dag wordt er 10.000 cfa aangerekend voor de hulp van Amy, wat wij niet hadden gezien. Voor de rest een super mooie locatie ideaal om te ontspannen en te genieten!
