Outstanding location. Few things can beat the beauty of the area. The accommodation although clean is old an in need of maintenance.

A peaceful time enjoying beautiful views and plentiful birdsong in trees and reeds - enjoyed watching weaverbirds building their nests at the dam. Thanks to plentiful rains the surroundings were green and spring flowers dotted the area around the cottage, which was comfortable and had everything we required to prepare an easy supper. Ahead of our trip heavy rains made a number of roads in the Western Cape unpassable. Shane, the manager, was quick to call to reassure us that access to Fraaigelegen had not been affected. All in all a pleasant getaway - thank you!

Had a good stay at Fraaigelegen Farm. The cottage is well positioned and has lovely views of the vineyards and the dam. It has all the basics. There is an aircon and a fireplace. The hot water bottles provided came in handy when it got chilly in the evening. The peacocks occasionally came to the cottage to say hi. It is also a great to visit nearby towns such as Tulbagh and Ceres from here. Shane was always very friendly, accommodating and understanding, which I highly appreciated.

A lovely cottage set in beautiful vineyard and farm surroundings with mountain backdrops. The farm roads to reach it were a bit challenging in a normal car, but definitely worth the effort. We enjoyed our short stay, and just wish it could have been longer.

An isolated cottage in an idyllic setting. Just what we needed after a long drive. Shane was extremely helpful in guiding us there and recommending local restaurants and attractions.
