Witkrans is a 35 hectare farm nestled on the eastern slopes of Witkransberg in the beautiful Flower Valley some 15 minutes from Stanford and Gansbaai and is an active member of The Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy. The farm has pristine fynbos and at least 180 indigenous plant species including many protea's, erica's, iris's and geraniums. The farm is home to a wide variety of birds including Knysna woodpecker, Cape sugarbird and Orange breasted sun bird and is a member of South Africa Birdlife. Witkrans Farm is in the beautiful Flower Valley and in the heart of The Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy. It is truly a unique property in the middle of nature. Cone Bush Cottage is the favorate cottage and is only open at certain times of the year as it is mainly reserved for The Fynbos Trail (a very popular 3 night slackpacking trail). Guests have access to various hiking/trail running trails on the property. The Klipspringer mountain biking trail is also on our doorstep for mountain bikers.

Prachtige locatie met alle nodige voorzieningen. Door electrciteitspanne wat problemen gehad maar Ian was daar om op alle mogelijke manieren te helpen. We kregen zelfs de beschikking over twee extra kamers die koeler aanvoelden. Een tien over heel de lijn.

Michelle and the Witkrans Farm team were great hosts. We had a fuss-free weekend away with no issues at all. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

What an amazing spot. It's one of those places where you hesitate to give a good review because you are afraid if it's too popular you can't get availability again! The hot tub was sublime, really made it special, and a super spacious place with everything you need. A swimming and boating dam just a short walk away, where the kids enjoyed a paddle and a swim. Nice big boma and a braai area to choose from for making an outside supper. The farm had its own trails too, nicely marked and well maintained. We can't wait to go back!

Witkrans is in the heart of The Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy and is also a active member serving on the committee.
We have a variety of well marked hiking trails on the farm exclusive to our guests. We are also part of the slackpacking hiking trail, The Fynbos Trail which our guests are welcome to walk (or even run) sections of.
We also form part of our conservancies Klipspringer MTB trail.
The property is well located for easy access to neighbouring De Uijlenes (wedding venue), Murasie (wedding venue), Walker Bay Fynbos Klipspringer MTB trail and Platbos (day hikes in a beautiful indigenous forest) as well as being just 15 minutes from beautiful beaches at Franskraal and Stanfords Cove in De Kelders. Only 15 minutes drive into Gansbaai or Stanford. Lomond wine farm is also 5 minutes down the road and open for tastings.

There is a 6km gravel road that comes into the farm. Normal cars are fine to travel in and the road is pretty good.
