Great cottage and base to explore Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast!!

The cottage itself is lovely, very cosy and tucked away. The Caretaker lives just next door and was welcoming and gave us good local tips. However, this booking is outsourced to Cottages dot com, and that experience was not great. Communication was slow and sporadic. After booking I got a message telling me : "to call a number if I am bringing a pet. When you call there is a pre-recorded message saying they cannot help over the phone and to use the AirBnB chat function. In adidtion, at the top of the listing it says 'furry friends welcome'. However after booking I was then charged an adidtional £30 to bring a dog, and the charge for this was buried at the bottom of the page and 2 further clicks into a sub-sub menu. There was also a note on the kitchen table asking fro an adidtional £30 a week for 'winter fuel payment'. Therefore, two lots of stealth charges plus poor responsiveness from Cottages dot com don't make me want to return. This is my first negative Air BnB rating.

Absolutely delightful place to stay, extremely high quality in every respect, with helpful and friendly hosts able to explain and make arrangements. Peaceful and beautiful location, near enough to walk into Lyme Regis and down to the sea, but also very close to the cliff path. We felt immediately at home. Warm enough that we weren't tempted to put on the woodburner despite its appeal.
