Hello, I used to travel quite a lot around the world. There was always a reason to go. Wether it was for fishing, surfing, love of watching out the window of a train or just working - I was always looking for an adventure. I lived on the road for fifteen years until I started studying in my hometown to become forestry engineer. Sharing my apartment to get some extra for my studies is my new way of finding adventures. The variety of places I have stayed have given me a clear vision what is a good way to spend a night abroad. There have to be something unique. It have to be comfortable. Relaxing. Easy. Cosy. Spacious. Airy. Best part comes when it can tell you where you are. When you live like locals. I remember those Mongolian nights I spent in the yurts, those I lived in the trees in Costa Rica, home stays in Cuba as well as the nights in five star hotel in Helsinki. There's good sides everywhere. I have tried to pick up the best for my flat. A bed is not just a bed. It's the start of the day and it's the end of the day and everything between depends a lot how good you sleep on it. The bed I'm offering is made by myself. It doesn't get steadier and more solid than this! It's made of old pine from Lapland. It grows slow and becomes very thick and heavy. Still being warm and nice to handle. I like reading and photographing. I have given extra time planning the lights in my flat. It has big windows to bring out the natural light. But the winters are long and dark so there are strong lights to cook and stuff that needs a lot of light. Then there are softer lights to mood things up. The sofa is perfect for little naps as well for reading. I have lot of photo books to look. Life in Lapland goes around with the seasons. In autumn we fill our freezers with all kinds of yummies. My idea is to share these with my guests. I have picked up some blueberries and strawberries. These are perfect for smoothies together with bananas and milk. I also try to offer a chance to make elk or reindeer if someone's willing. Meat doesn't get better than these, in my experience. So the flat comes with a menu and receipts if someone wants to go deeper in to Finnish delicasies. Coffee is provided for free. I also offer chances to go on tours. Sauna, snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing. You name it. Just let me know. I'd be glad to show you around the city as well. Thank you for reading. Just ask if need more info.
