We had a great time at the Nature House. If you are looking for a place to “unplug” then this is it. The house was perfect for what we wanted. The kids enjoyed the loft area and the swings outside. The availability of the canoes was awesome and we went out on them twice. About a 20-30 minute paddle out into the Withlacoochee and north to Citrus Blue Spring. Was awesome to find a spring not easily accessible. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling the spring as well.

Beautiful location. Off the beaten track, but that’s what I was looking for. Quiet surrounds, with an amazing canopy of moss and fern covered oak trees, lovely landscaping. River access from the property, short canoe to Citrus Blue Springs. House is cozy with comfortable furnishings, great kitchen and bath. Enjoyed our stay!

The cabin and its surrounding are magical, very peaceful and quiet, I enjoyed my stay very much and it was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely be back. Also the host Lelia Smarte was great.

The house and the area was beautiful, it was a bit hard to find the first time but only the first time. The home had stunning views that just made me want to curl up under a soft blanket by the fireplace and enjoy the scenery. It was very peaceful and quiet except for the first half an hour after I arrived where the neighbors dog barked for long enough that I began to be concerned that it was going to be a constant over the weekend. Luckily the dog stopped after the first 30 minutes and i didn't hear it again all weekend. The backyard's massive oak trees offered a great balance of shade and sunlight and provided us with some stunning sunrises and sunsets. I did have quite the array of visitors to the backyard, from squirrels and hawks, to a family of raccoons and even a curious little armadillo, it really is The Nature House. Just be warned, the mosquitos were huge so just make sure to bring bug spray if you plan to spend time outside!

Beautiful place to rest and recharge from a big city. Love everything there. Clean house, everything ready for your stay. Fresh air, a lot of space for kids to play. Definitely will be back!
