Monika was very helpful, gave clear directions and always had a lot of recommendations for where to go and what to explore in London. Her husband also drove me to the airport at 4am, I will always be most thankful for this. They are really friendly and nice people, interesting to talk to, always ready to help out, they have 4 cats and are great hosts. The place is very cozy and clean. The room has a garden view (the cats hang out there a lot) and it's very calm despite the busy neighborhood. It's very cozy and I found myself spending quite some time just relaxing at home and watching tv shows. Overall, I'll be on the lookout for this place if I ever plan to come visit London again. :)

It’s saddening to learn on a Sunday (30 October 2022) morning on my way to the nearest Tube station (Sudbury Town station) that a murder happened on Sunday 30 Oct 2022 at around 1:50am (winter time) outside the Aura bar at 763-765 Harrow Road HA0 2LW. The main road (Harrow Road) was blocked out for more than 36 hours (probably up to 48 hours, but to be prudent I will say more than 36) by police. I figured out the rough idea of the above incident first from the appearance of forensic team at the scene and a policeman there at the scene on Sunday morning (which caused me a detour into a rough neighbourhood area to the tube station). Days later more details came through a “Police Appeal for Assistance” by the Metropolitan Police and CrimeStoppers on the window of a nearby shop to the host property. The vicinity (and some pathways to the Tube station) is quite dark at night time , particularly after 10pm, so I would not recommend staying out alone at night or walking the way home from the Tube station. Buses like 182, 245, 18 and 91 are frequently used by me, as the pathway to Tube station is rather dark and quiet early in the morning or at night time. Typical one way travel time to zone 1 around 50 minutes to 1 hour, by either tube or bus. Always staying in hotels during pre- Covid travels, this is my first experience with Airbnb and I took a month off from my business (15 Oct - 16 Nov 2022) traveling from Hong Kong to London, Cambridge (for 2 nights), Amsterdam (for 2 nights) and Berlin (for 2 nights) and I eventually stayed 24 nights in the host property, which I booked for 30 nights*. *Probably a very long stay for sightseeing, but for London you can spend your many days experiencing there without feeling bored. National Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Cabinet war room, bike tour around zone 1, musical and concert…I enjoyed all these with real fun. I wish to experience the more rural side of London livelihood while wants to keep the spending in control, and for such reasons instead of Hotel/hostel I try Airbnb for 30 nights. Hosts are fair and the cats fun to be around. The garden is nice. However location (and safety at night) is an Issue. While being in Zone 4, this is not within any reach of my expectation of a visiting experience. An unfortunate event at a bar on the high street nearby. May the deceased rest in peace and murderer get caught soonest.
