Welcome to Deer Rapids Retreat. This charming cabin is nestled on a large piece of land, lots of trees, open grass field and the comforting sounds of the Shenandoah River just feet away from your screened in porch. Enter via the wrap around deck to the screened porch. The river will be pulling you back out side fast, but you can relax in the living room, or grab a meal in the equipped kitchen. Mountain home: like in the movies, on 50 acres. Includes soaring mountain views, swimming holes, hiking trails, ATV trails, fishing creek, mini white sand beach, hot tub in a cave, huge boulder rustic fire pits, cave, lake, cabanas, all in a heavy forest exclusively for guests. Private: you cannot see another house from the front porch or back decks and it has thick woods all around. At the top of the property are soaring views with 3 miles of visibility. No need to go to the national park.

The Bear Dance Cabin at Wintergreen Resort

Tucked back in the woods in the Wintergreen Resort, we're on the top of Wintergreen Mountain, elevation just under 4k, near all the resort's amenities. Our family built on Wintergreen Mountain after learning how unique and beautiful the seasons are here. The cabin quickly became a new member of the family and we can’t imagine not having her in our lives now. Ten years after building we decided to provide short term rental and the experience has been beyond what we had ever imagined. Enjoy!
