Sherwood Vine House + forest room

Charming, 3 bed house in the heart of the village with new forest room. 1 king, 1 dble and 1 single/cosy twin (trundle). Downstairs: living & dining room, large kitchen & wc (kitchen features a lovely breakfast bar and comfy sofa). Relax in the living room with the 50" TV screen or entertainment cabinet with board games, jigsaws, books & puzzles. All bedrooms feature panel walls with an open wardrobe approach so you don’t leave anything behind. Stair gate, high chair and travel cots available.

The Tower

The Tower is the perfect romantic high-end getaway for couples who want to get away from it all in a secluded location and fancy just something different. The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. Welcome to Loxley Cottage, a space perfect for a little country retreat. Only a short walk from Nottinghams famous Sherwood forest, you can emerse yourself in nature. Once you have explored, you can snuggle down infront of the fire in the cooler months or continue to enjoy the peace and quiet out in the garden in the warm evenings. Nottinghamshire wildlife trust (SSSI) and Idle Valley 300m away a haven for nature lovers and home to hundreds of wild birds – and even recently, beavers! Great for walking, rambling and mountain bikers. Local village pub nearby and the market town of Retford a very short drive . Kingfishers literally beneath the lodge !

New Lodge Cabin

A cabin on wheels, made from locally sourced oak and larch. Set within a meadow, surrounded by woodland in Sherwood Forest. Shower with underfloor heating in a shepherd hut. Compost toilets. Outdoor pot washing facilities and dining area. A perfect off grid stay. Our smallholding has sheep, goats and chickens which graze often in the meadow depending on the season. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines are all within walking/cycle distance.
