This home is a spacious converted barn with 2 bedrooms, and kitchen/family room, studio, loft and one bathroom. It is set in the woods just a few miles from Lake Superior. Being off the shore of Lake Superior has it's advantages--it is quieter and at night so dark that if it is clear you can reach out and touch the millions of stars in the sky. The grounds are ample with a large covered patio and fire ring. Reservations less than 2 day prior please message us we will do our best to accommodate.

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

After a busy day of exploring sites, from Gooseberry State Park to Split Rock Lighthouse, all within 10-15 minutes of your home base, you can unwind with beers at Castle Danger Brewery.

Or take the path down to the private beach featuring 280' of pebble and sand shoreline. Access to bike and hiking trails.

In the evening the full kitchen is a dream for a foodie, or head fifteen minutes to a brewery. Before bed put up your feet, play a game, read a book, or doze by the fireplace’s heat.

Classic, Vintage Log Cabin on 2.5 acres right on Lake Superior - a cozy step back in time! 250 ft. of bedrock shoreline. 3 Bedrooms: 2 Queen, 1 Dbl. 3/4 bath, kitchen, and indoor fireplace. Outdoors: both gas & charcoal grills, firepit, firewood, a swing & picnic table. The nightly fee is for 2 adults. There's a $10 fee/night/each additional guest.

Swan Forest Loft is ideal to explore the North Shore of Lake Superior with its 7 state parks. We are located 4 miles from Gooseberry Falls State Park with the start of the Gitchi Gami bicycle trail and 2 miles from a Superior Hiking Trail head. Walk up 15 stairs to a comfortable, spacious 2 bedroom apartment with balcony. It feels like a tree house with modern amenities. The kitchen has a two-burner ceramic stove top, microwave with oven, toaster, hot water kettle, fridge and coffee maker.

A beautifully private north woods retreat any time of year!
