The area around the cabin is wooded with low growing birch trees typical of the Icelandic woods. As a base for sightseeing on the west coast this is a great location. Close to Snaefellsnes, and also the many sights in Borgarfjördur, waterfalls, glaciers, caves and much more. If you enjoy nature this is the place for you.

You can relax in the hot tub and enjoy amazing views of the horizon during the summer and you might see the northern lights during the winter. It's a perfect location for day trips to discover the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the silver circle and it's not far from the golden circle either.

Our 78 square meter 1 bedroom cottage is located 50 minutes drive from Reykjavik. The cottage is luxurious and has an outdoor natural water hot tub from where you can enjoy the Northern Lights or the fantastic sunset. The living area and the balcony have a spectacular view overlooking the fjord and surrounding mountains. The cottage is a great base for day tours in the south or west of Iceland. Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and Snæfells glacier are all within 1-2 hours’ drive.

There is electric heating, a gas stove and outdoor cooking area. The cottage is close to Krauma geothermal bath and the town of Borgarnes where you can go to stores, museum and restaurants.
