Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Experience our 'Oceanfront Surfside Cottage' with a secluded Hot Tub, spectacular Ocean and Mountain views, all to yourselves. Our lovely fully equipped 3 bedroom, 2 bath home features an oceanfront patio, with a Hot Tub perched on the cliff. It has stair access down to our private pebble beach. Surfside is a contemporary home with fir floors, cedar ceilings and a wood stove for romantic nights. Relax on the deck while overseeing the ocean wildlife. This is the place to get away from it all!

All the comforts of a modern cabin in our newly built "Jordan River Cabin" nestled amongst 3 acres of tall evergreens with floor to ceiling window views. Fire up the BBQ on the wrap around deck. Wood stove comes supplied with kindling & firewood. Open concept, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Fresh towels & linens for 2 king size bedrooms & 2 rain shower bathrooms, a huge soaker bathtub upstairs, a hot outdoor rain shower + wood fired cedar hot tub & a newly added meditation deck!

Charming Log Home - With Cozy Fireplace & Hot tub

Come and relax in our (3BRw/loft) traditional log home, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, with gas range, cableTV & DVD player. Bathroom includes a large bath tub, separate shower & laundry facilities. The 17ft high stone fireplace will gather friends & family for memorable cozy nights. Outside, enjoy private hot tub, BBQ, propane fire pit, table and chairs. Great views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from upper sitting area. Our log home can accommodate up 8 people with a maximum of 6 adults.

The Aletheia Suite is nearly 800 Sq ft of "Wow". The King size hand crafted four poster luxurious bed never ceases to amaze. Two sided wood burning fire place, extra large jacuzzi tub, WIFI and flat screen TV. Private sitting area and well equipped kitchenette (including: fridge, microwave/convection oven, hot plate, toaster, kettle, french press). Outside your private entrance is a large covered patio that overlooks english gardens complete with fountains, arbours, ponds and lit covered BBQ.

Ocean front West Coast retreat located 40 meters above the surf, bordering China Beach. Enjoy beach fires, forest walks, hiking, mushroom forging and surfing. A short intermediate private trail will take you down to the beach. The 560 square foot cabin is set back on the property, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Juan de Fuca Straight. Cozy up by the wood fire in this cozy 1 king bed cabin or have a bath in the outdoor tub and enjoy the breathtaking views!

One of a kind converted 1969 School Bus

This is a 1969 school bus lovingly converted into a tiny guest house in a whimsical garden space. We are located in a rural residential area near Sooke BC, just off the Galloping Goose Trail. (Km37) Surrounded by stunning beaches, pristine forest and coastal hikes, refreshing lakes and rivers, wildlife and natural beauty galore. A 30 minute drive from Victoria, or approximately 3 hour bike ride if you’re feeling adventurous.
