Our modern cozy cabin in the woods is on forty acres of trails to hike or snowshoe right out your cabin door. We are located twelve miles from Hayward or Cable. The Birkie "OO" trailhead is only 3.7 miles away! Just off snowmobile trail 5. Over a dozen lakes within 5 miles. Great restaurants close by. Surround yourself with peace and quiet of the Northwoods. The Cabin at Tamarack Trails is the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature and the many activities the Hayward Lakes area has to offer.

Welcome to the Trailside Gökotta Forest Cottage: a modern, minimalist and serene nature cabin on the Birkie Trail system. Gökotta means 'to get up early to listen to sounds of birds and the forest'. Located right on Birkie Ridge Trailhead with close access to vast CAMBA trails, this is a nature escape for outdoor enthusiasts who love to bike, ski, hike, and bird watch. Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

The Birkie ski trails and CAMBA mountain bike trails await you at the end of the private lane for easy trail access. Additionally, the OO Trailhead and Kortelopet start is approximately 1.5 miles from the cabin. Our cabin sits on 5 acres in a quiet, silent sports neighborhood. We designed our cabin in a modern chalet style so that it gives you the feeling of being outside while staying warm and dry inside.

The Cabin for Two sits at the end of a private road on a small wilderness lake, surrounded by county forest. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.

🌅 Welcome to Sunset Sands on Lake Nebagamon Sunset Sands sits feet from Lake Nebagamon with private shore access, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards in the months of June to October. Warm up by the wood-burning fireplace inside or gather around the outdoor fire pit under the stars. The outdoor fire pit is only accessible from May-November. Summer is for the lake. Fall brings the colors. Winter is fireplace season. A four-season escape built for slowing down.
