Accommodating up to 6 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a double sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, wood burner for cosy nights in and dining opening onto the brook-side terrace, it provides the perfect Peak Park getaway. Dove Cottage is a former Victorian fishing lodge in a unique setting on the banks of the river Dove. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.
