The Bear Den is centrally located in historic Mt. Airy. If desired it is a mile walk to downtown Mt. Airy, 1/2 mile walk to Veterans Park, 1 block from Mt. Airy High School (Home of the Granite Bears), 20 minutes to Pilot Mountain State Park and 40 minutes to Winston-Salem. The exterior colors, Navy Blue and White, are the colors of the Mt. Airy High School Granite Bears. The inside is cozy and has the feel of Mayberry. There is a spacious backyard and ample parking at The Bear Den. Enjoy!

The "Midnight Moon" Cabin, State Road NC

Take it easy at our relaxing cabin while taking a step back in time. Located in State Road, NC, our cabin is made of 100-year-old logs by the one and only "Log Whisperer". The "Midnight Moon" is named after the black Quarter Horse "Moon" who joined his Mom in heaven in Dec. 2024. Spirit, our other black QH, remains at the cabin with his cow friends and new goat herd, who often graze the pastures surrounding our cabin. Relax by the fire or enjoy checkers on the porch, just soak it all in.

(Bluebird Cottage) Beulah Bison Farm

The Bluebird Cottage was built in 1974, but underwent a full remodel in 2023-2024 so everything is brand new! It is located beside Beulah Bison Farm where your hosts live. Guests can drive or hike through the 300 acre farm. The house has a main floor with 3 bedrooms, open kitchen/living room, full bathroom, laundry, front porch, back deck and upper driveway. The lower level has 1 bedroom, kitchen/living room, bathroom, laundry and its own separate entry.

We would love to host you in this charming historic home, known to our family as "Grannie's House". It was built in 1905 by my great-grandparents, and later converted to a duplex. This listing is for one side of the duplex. There is a shared parking area with the permanent resident of the other side of the duplex, but otherwise this listing is completely private- no shared interiors. Sunny and comfortable, this home is waiting for you!
