This architecturally unique 1BR guest studio features a private deck with views, kitchenette, and spa-style shower. Minutes to hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and the Tail of the Dragon. Adventure by day, peaceful forest privacy by night. The studio is designed to take advantage of the cool mountain climate, with screened windows, and fresh air. The studio does not have AC.

Convenient Tuckasegee river access across the street and close to many hiking spots! When not touring the area, relax outdoors and enjoy the antics of our resident goats, donkeys, geese and chickens.

Our 4 person guest cabin (6 if you’d like to arrange to stay upstairs as well) is centrally located to the Smokey Mountains National Park, Pisgah National Forest the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, The Cherokee land and Casino, and dozens or waterfalls. We are also a short mile from the Parker Mill Wedding venue. We are close to many mountain biking trails, kayaking, and water sports, and the Nantahala outdoor center.

New! Spacious secluded retreat 2 miles from the tail of the dragon! **Caution: long gravel/dirt driveway. Your vehicle will require at least 5 to 6 inches of clearance to safely traverse the road but accessible for vehicles with trailers up to 14 ft. A small price to pay for literally living on the dragon. A 2 bedroom loft with bathroom, full kitchen, reading nook, and air conditioning. Loft is over a detached 3 car garage with private exterior stairway and plenty of parking space.

Our studio cabin is located between Sylva and Cherokee, within 20 minutes from the south end of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Brew pubs and highly rated eateries are within a 10 minute drive. Rafting, hiking, and biking- just 15 minutes away. Lake Fontana or the Blue Ridge Parkway within 20 minutes. Enjoy peace, nature, and simple amenities at our hidden bungalow.

Trophy trout fishing waters are across the street.
