Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

The old cowshed at Hraunkot

The farm Hraunkot and horse rental Lava Horses are located between Husavik, Lake Myvatn and Akureyri, but yet in a peaceful environment with a lot of animals. The apartment is a part of the house complex at Sunnuhlíð, a farmland close to the town of Akureyri. The apartment is perfect for four adults, two couples or families traveling on their own. Guests can enjoy the beautiful view of Eyjafjörður and Akureyri. Additional fee for more than two guests is  € 18 per guest, per night.

This is small studio apartment in our basement in the part of Akureyri called "Brekkan" - word similar to "the slop" or "the hill". Near our house is the good swimming pool (500 meters), Botanic Garden Akureyri, food stores and downtown is close by (5-800 meters).
