You get a quick ride back and forth to the island and the best views of the East Midtown skyline and East River. Highly recommended during sunrise and sunset. It costs the same as a train ride, $2.75.

Visited Roosevelt Island and took the the air tram, and the views are spectacular! The Roosevelt area is clean and there's a lawn by the East Riverside where you could sit and enjoy the Manhattan skyline and the sound of the rushing water.
