Tucked away in one of Cornwalls hidden valleys, you will discover Melinsey Mill. This local family business is run from a restored 16th century water mill. Melinsey is a one off, a wonderful cornish mixture of eccentricity and charm. When you walk around the pond you pass a mermaid ,walk under a lampshade tree and travel through a teapot arch. After your journey you might be ready for a homemade lunch, cake or cream tea. Tables and chairs are situated around the pond for outside eating. During the summer we will be serving homemade pizzas cooked in our wood burning oven. Please check our facebook page for more details. Teas, cakes and cream teas are available all day, accompanied by a wide choice of hot and cold drinks. We have a drinks license and sell cider, beer and wine. Homemade soup and a dish of the day are supplemented by a choice of traditional snacks and doorstep sandwiches. Wherever possible local produce is used. All our cakes, pies and pastrys are homemade in the mill kitchen. We offer morning coffee and we serve lunch between 12.00pm and 3.30pm. If the weather should be unkind seek refuge in the rustic shelters and large fire house. Well behaved dogs on leads are always welcome.

Only in Cornwall would you find the very individual Melinsey Mill. Lovely, homely food in relaxing woodland surroundings. Closed on Mondays, and between October and April. Drive, or take a half an hour scenic walk from Pendower Beach up a woodland footpath. Now offering pizza evenings - see their FB page for details. Booking a day or two ahead is recommended!
