I shop here because I hate Walmart. Yes, it is a drive, but where else can you sit down and have a glass of wine in a grocery store while you shop?

This is sort of like a Super Walmart, but the food is better than Walmart. But if you need anything from a pair of sneakers to a bag of flour to balloons for a party, this is where you go. They actually have a bar in the grocery store.

Smiths is similar to a “super” Walmart providing a wide-array of merchandise. They have a bar with a TV where we have enjoyed hot toddies and freshly made sandwiches. They also offer a variety of prepped food items and grocery curbside pick up. Just download the smiths app.

If you need anything, it's at Smith's in Los Alamos. Los Alamos is about one hour (maybe less) from The Alpaca Barnhaus. In addition Los Alamos has two great museums and good eating establishments.

Like a Super Wal-Mart, but with an upscale Whole Foods feel. Great selection of artisan meats & cheeses, fresh breads, beer/wine/liquor, standard personal supplies, and even "dept. store" clothes. Awesome outdoor patio overlooking the canyon too!
