A beautiful Welsh town with picturesque walks along the river Dee. It hosts Llangollen steam railway and a horse drawn canal boat ride. Approximately 25 minutes away. Post code for market street car park LL20 8PS

Gorgeous Llangollen is very pretty with the bridge over the town falls of the River Dee providing entertainment if you prefer to watch the rafters, kayakers and fun seekers bouncing their way down the rapids. There are several companies that will facilitate this if you’re feeling adventurous too! As well as going on a steam train, up the valley, you can also enjoy a cream tea on board, or alongside, the horse drawn canal boats, or venture across the Froncysyllte viaduct, hundreds of feet about the valley floor! Castell Dinas Bran is worth every second of the 10min climb for a breathtaking valley view and great photo opportunities! Dinner alongside the river at The Cornmill is always a pleasure - make sure you book though! There are plenty of quirky shops and eateries though - Gayles wine bar, the Three Pigeons and cafes galore. It gets very busy in the summer so get there early as parking can be a challenge!

Steam railway, canal, Riverside cafes and even a castle ruins. Llangollen has it all. This beautiful town has so much charm and everything you could need. Fabulous restaurants, bars, cafes and independent shops. There is also a wealth of outdoor activities available from hiking and rock climbing to kayaking, paddle boarding and white water rafting.

We go here about two or three times a week. It's a pleasure just to drive here over the horseshoe pass. A few little shops, plus Aldi and home and Bargain. We have more detail on our website Things to do, places to eat.

Lots to do in this buzzing Welsh town. Castell Dinas Bran sits high above the town, kayaking on the river, steam trains in the summer, and horse drawn barges along the canal.
