At Balloch Castle Country Park it's worth noting that there's nothing really left of the castle itself, but the park is lovely and has a great kids' adventure play area at the bottom of the hill by the water's edge. The play area is totally enclosed so there's no fear of them escaping, and there's a cafe with seating next to it.

Balloch Park is over 200 acres of park, woodland, walled gardens, play parks, castle and beach, along the shores of Loch Lomond. You will get some of the best views of Loch Lomond from the castle.

Lovely walks with great views, peaceful. Plenty of local places to eat and drink. A walk from Balloch all the way around the park is about 3 miles.

Balloch Country Park is a 200-acre country park on the southern tip of Loch Lomond in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It was recognised as a country park in 1980, and it is the only country park in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Scotland's first national park.
