The St. Beatus Caves are a very impressive site to visit on those rainy days. You can walk about 900 meters into the mountain and get to see many great rock formations. Make sure you take a jacket with you, even in summer. it is always around 8 degrees in the caves. Best is to take the ship from Oberhofen Pier to Sundlauene and then hike about 25 minutes to the caves. Alternatively you may take the bus (free of charge with your Panorama Card) or the car to Beatushöhlen. There is as well a small museum where you get to see some mountain crystals.

In den St. Beatus-Höhlen (Tropfsteinhöhlen) in der Nähe von Interlaken können Sie auf ca. einem Kilometer das Innere des Niederhorn-Massivs erforschen. Das Höhlensystem liegt am Nordrand des Thunersees. Es wird auch eine Führung angeboten. In the St. Beatus caves (stalactite caves) near Interlaken you can explore the interior of the Niederhorn massif for about one kilometre. The cave system lies on the northern edge of Lake Thun. A guided tour is also offered. Dans les grottes de St. Beatus (grottes de stalactites) près d'Interlaken, vous pouvez explorer l'intérieur du massif du Niederhorn sur environ un kilomètre.
